1. Overview
Climate Action Partners Inc. (“Climate Action Partners”, “CAP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides access to verified climate action products, including the purchase and retirement of carbon credits and the support of climate and nature-based projects.
Because of the nature of these products and services, returns and refunds are subject to specific limitations, as outlined below.
2. Carbon Credits & Offset Purchases
No Returns After Retirement
Once a carbon credit has been retired, cancelled, or otherwise permanently allocated on behalf of a customer, the transaction is final and non-refundable.
This is because:

Retired carbon credits cannot be resold, transferred, or reused, and
-
Retirement is an irreversible action recorded in an external registry.
By completing a purchase, customers acknowledge and agree that carbon credit retirement is permanent.
Refunds Prior to Retirement
If a carbon credit purchase has not yet been retired, a refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to:

A written request submitted to info@climateaction.partners

Confirmation that the credit has not been retired, cancelled, or assigned

Any third-party costs already incurred (e.g. registry fees, transaction fees)
Approved refunds may be:

issued to the original payment method, or
-
provided as store credit, at our discretion
Transaction or processing fees may be deducted where applicable.
3. Project Support & Tree-Planting Contributions
Some purchases on our platform support project implementation services, such as tree planting, monitoring, or restoration activities.
Because these contributions:
-
are allocated to real-world activities, and
-
may be scheduled or executed shortly after purchase,
they are generally non-refundable once the project partner has begun implementation.
If a request is made before funds have been committed, we may assess a refund on a case-by-case basis.
4. Subscriptions (if applicable)
If you offer recurring or subscription-based services:

Customers may cancel subscriptions at any time before the next billing cycle.

Charges already processed for a given billing period are non-refundable, unless required by law.
Cancellation instructions will be provided in the customer account dashboard or via written request.
5. Errors, Duplicates, or Technical Issues
If you believe a purchase was made:

in error,
-
duplicated, or
-
due to a technical malfunction,
please contact us within 7 days of the transaction.
Where an error is confirmed and no retirement or irreversible action has occurred, we will work with you to issue a refund or appropriate correction.
6. Chargebacks & Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback.
Unresolved chargebacks:

may result in delayed resolution,

may incur additional fees, and
-
may affect our ability to continue offering services efficiently.
7. Compliance With Local Consumer Laws
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
Where mandatory refund or cancellation rights apply, we will comply with those legal obligations.
